What started with manufacturers and hospitals in our home region now spans national software hubs, field teams across the country, and select offices in London and Dublin—still run with the same practical, field-first engineering mindset we started with.

    ~3,800 employees worldwide

    We reach approximately 3,800 employees with a central innovation campus, sites across the Southeast, national hubs from Dallas to Phoenix, and select offices in London and Dublin serving EMEA customers.

  2. 2024

    FusionForward & AtomSafe introduced

    We introduced FusionForward™ and AtomSafe™, readiness and feasibility programs for fusion, SMR, and advanced energy, helping customers plan next-generation assets without premature capital bets.

  3. 2023

    GridBuddy vendor integrations expanded

    GridBuddy added vendor-neutral orchestration for third-party solar, storage, and controls equipment—built for enterprises running mixed OEM fleets without separate portals per vendor.

  4. 2022

    BrightBank line introduced

    BrightBank™ launched as our commercial and industrial battery storage line, designed to pair with GridBuddy dispatch and the field teams already maintaining customer sites.

  5. 2021

    Raleigh-Durham software hub

    The Raleigh-Durham office opened to scale GridBuddy engineering, cloud platform operations, analytics, and AI-assisted energy modeling for national B2B customers.

  6. 2020

    GridBuddy commercial launch

    GridBuddy launched commercially as our energy intelligence platform—giving us a modern software layer while keeping roots in field service and real-world infrastructure.

  7. 2017

    GridBuddy prototype

    An internal customer-facing visibility tool proved that software could unify solar, storage, generators, and loads on one screen. That prototype became GridBuddy™.

  1. 2014

    Formal renewable integration

    We began structured solar and battery integration work, positioning as an energy orchestration company rather than a single-technology vendor. The insight that renewable energy must work with everything else still drives product strategy.

  2. 2011

    Atlanta regional hub launched

    Atlanta became our Southeast enterprise sales and partner hub, supporting logistics centers, automotive suppliers, and large commercial accounts across Georgia and the broader region.

  3. 2008

    Municipal resilience programs

    We expanded into municipal resilience and public infrastructure for water, wastewater, and government facilities that needed dependable, real-world uptime above all.

  4. 2005

    Charlotte enterprise office opened

    A Charlotte hub expanded our reach across the Carolinas for enterprise and commercial accounts, building finance-sector relationships and multi-site commercial success that still anchor East Coast sales.

  5. 2001

    Anderson power lab opened

    The Anderson facility began testing power controls, backup systems, and early battery integrations, a precursor to today’s BrightBank R&D and quality programs.

  6. 1997

    Spartanburg service team established

    Our first dedicated regional service team opened in Spartanburg to support manufacturing customers, establishing the field-first reputation that still defines deployment today.

  7. 1994

    Company founded

    We launched as an industrial power-controls and reliability firm, helping regional manufacturers, distribution facilities, municipal buildings, and healthcare sites keep critical equipment powered and protected.
