Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 3, 2026

Solid Power Innovations ("SPI," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy describes how we handle personal information when you visit solidpowerinnovations.com, submit an inquiry, or interact with our B2B energy platforms and field services.

1. Who we are

Solid Power Innovations, Inc. is a U.S.-based energy technology company headquartered in Greenville, South Carolina. Since 1994 we have provided industrial power controls, commercial and industrial (C&I) solar and storage integration, managed operations through CurrentCare™, and software orchestration through GridBuddy™ for enterprises, campuses, utilities, and infrastructure operators. We also maintain offices across the United States and in London and Dublin for EMEA customer operations.

This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through our public website and general marketing channels. If you are an existing customer with a master services agreement, order, or GridBuddy subscription, additional contractual data-protection terms may apply.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Contact and inquiry data — name, work email, phone, company, job title, preferred office, product interests, portfolio size, project timeline, and messages you submit through our contact form or email.
  • Website usage data — IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, referring URLs, and approximate location derived from IP.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — preferences, session identifiers, and analytics events as described in Section 6.
  • Customer and platform data — if you use GridBuddy™, SunNest™, BrightBank™, or related services, we process operational energy data, site identifiers, user accounts, support tickets, and telemetry necessary to monitor, orchestrate, and service your assets. That processing is governed by your commercial agreement and product documentation.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal categories (such as health or biometric data) through this marketing website.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to sales, applications engineering, and support inquiries;
  • Provide, secure, and improve our website and marketing communications;
  • Operate GridBuddy and related platforms for authorized users;
  • Deliver field services, commissioning, and CurrentCare managed operations;
  • Comply with law, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect our rights;
  • Analyze aggregate usage trends to improve content and product positioning (where permitted).

We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share limited data with service providers who assist us under contract (hosting, email, analytics, CRM, and customer-support tools).

4. Legal bases (EEA & UK visitors)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies (for example, when you contact our Dublin or London offices or browse from the EEA/UK), we rely on:

  • Legitimate interests — to operate our website, pursue B2B leads, and secure our systems;
  • Contract — when processing is necessary to perform or prepare a contract with your organization;
  • Consent — where required for non-essential cookies or certain marketing communications;
  • Legal obligation — when retention or disclosure is required by law.

5. Retention

Inquiry records are typically retained for up to three (3) years unless a longer period is needed for active sales discussions, legal claims, or contractual onboarding. Website logs and security records may be kept for a shorter operational window. Customer platform and site telemetry retention follows your service agreement and applicable regulatory requirements for energy and critical infrastructure records.

6. Cookies and analytics

We may use essential cookies to keep the site functioning and optional analytics cookies to understand traffic patterns. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may limit site functionality.

7. Security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to a B2B energy technology provider, including access controls for GridBuddy environments and field-service systems. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of your personal information, and to object to or port data where applicable. U.S. residents in states with privacy laws may have additional rights regarding targeted advertising and sensitive data.

To exercise rights, contact [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity and authority to act on behalf of an organization. You may also unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in those messages.

9. International transfers

SPI is headquartered in the United States. If you provide information from outside the U.S., we may transfer and process it in the U.S. and other countries where we or our processors operate, using appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses where required for EEA/UK data.

10. Children

Our website and B2B services are directed to business professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes will be posted on this page.
